Denise DeBaun, Founder and President, is a visionary new business designer. An entrepreneur. A strategist. An inventor. A leader. And your next muse.

She is a global authority in beauty, health, well being, and sustainability which have been her professional commitment, and her devotion. through four decades of change and progress.

In 2006, DeBaun orchestrated a successful restructure and merger of Aloebiotics Research Labs. From 2007 - 2012, she led the venture as President and CEO. At ARL, DeBaun not only invented the active ingredient Alasta®, commercialized Aloeride®, invented a natural preservative alternative and created the Sustainable Youth® brand, she created all the company’s assets. ARL relied on her creativity, leadership and technical skills, including technology development, commercialization and scalability, IP management, business development, technology and formulation licensing, patent invention, international and regulatory compliance, clinical trials and manufacturer sourcing. And, of course, branding, website and package design, trademarks and marketing.

Prior to forming DeBaun Development in 1993, she was Vice President and General Manager of Gryphon Development. Here, DeBaun pioneered the private-label bath and body retail concept for Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Henri Bendel and Abercrombie & Fitch—all notable and valuable brands in today’s marketplace. And when sales exceeded $240 million in three years, The Limited Corp purchased the company.

As Corporate Vice President of Marketing for the Leslie Fay Companies, DeBaun confidently led the marketing, advertising and promotion of 21 apparel divisions.

DeBaun is an accomplished Aromatherapist, but that is not the only reason fragrances smell success under her leadership.

As Vice President of Marketing for Calvin Klein Cosmetics, DeBaun created and launched the Eternity, Obsession and Obsession for Men fragrance lines. She also directed domestic and international brand marketing, product and packaging development, public relations, advertising and creative services. CKCC revolutionized the fragrance industry. And as sales skyrocketed, Unilever took notice and purchased Calvin Klein Cosmetics.

Prior to Calvin Klein, DeBaun was Director of Marketing with Warner Cosmetics for Ralph Lauren fragrances, cosmetics and skincare, as well as the Paloma Picasso and Gloria Vanderbilt fragrance lines. Inevitably, the brands’ sweet smell of success led Cosmair to purchase Warner Cosmetics, adding value to their fragrance division.

In addition to these accomplishments, DeBaun was Marketing Director for Oscar de la Renta fragrances and Brand & Operations Director for Geoffrey Beene’s Grey Flannel and Red fragrances. While at Geoffrey Beene, Shulton/American Cyanamid purchased the company.

Denise DeBaun is a Venture Partner with Inventages Venture Capital and an internationally recognized specialist in beauty, fragrance, wellness and alternative health.
